Gabe Leibowitz was born and raised on the Upper West Side of Manhattan and has lived in NYC and Brooklyn for all his life, only taking a break from its magnificence to attend Brandeis University near Boston for college. He opened his own brokerage (Aboveground Realty, later renamed Skygroup Realty) in 2005 and ran it for ten years before merging with Warburg Realty in order to focus all his energies on what he really loves (being a broker) instead of running a business. After nearly three extremely successful years at Warburg, which included top-six finishes companywide in both of his full campaigns there, he joined Douglas Elliman in 2018 to maximize the exposure and scope of his personal brand while continuing to deliver the utmost care and attention to each and every one of his clients.
Since his company's inception in the mid-2000's, Gabe has followed a strict professional mantra of ethics, responsibility, professionalism, patience, responsiveness, and nonstop hard work for his customers, and he's always prided himself on treating everyone who does him the honor of requesting his time or help. He has a passionate team that represents all of his core values and makes sure that every single person is taken care of to their utmost satisfaction. And after over thirteen years in the industry, he has a strong internal network of excellent and reliable professionals such as real estate lawyers, mortgage bankers, home inspectors, architects, and contractors to help make his clients' transactions as smooth as possible.
Gabe has worked on sales transactions ranging from $200,000 to $11,000,000+, and has handled (and handles!) immense rental portfolios in Tribeca and Midtown. He completed his MBA from NYU Stern's evening program in May 2015, and is now a board member for the NYU Stern Center for Real Estate Finance; he's also a NYRS (New York Residential Specialist). He lives with his wife Francesca, his son Julian, and his toy poodle Kiki in Brooklyn; in his spare time, he loves cinema (he was a film critic for years before discovering real estate), sports, fine dining, and anything involving his family and friends.
